HOWDY!
My name is Prof. Cody Lewis and welcome to Quidditch Chronicles! If you are looking for the Transfiguration classroom, that is down the hall. Otherwise, I hope you are ready to learn more about the history of Quidditch!
In my class, you will learn about all the major events involving Quidditch, from its origins in Queerditch Marsh to the Tournament that Nobody Remembers to the 422nd (or 132nd) Quidditch World Cup. You will learn about teams and players you've never heard of. You will learn about Pride of Portree, P.O.N.G., Niko Nenad, and Royston Idlewind. If you show up to my lectures, take notes, and ask a few questions, I promise you will learn something from my class that you did not know before. You might even have a little fun, too.

REQUIRED READING MATERIAL
You will need two textbooks for my class. First, you will need Quidditch Through the Ages by Kennilworthy Whisp. Mr. Whisp is an exceptional Quidditch historian and a very dear friend of mine. His book, although slightly outdated and containing a few inaccuracies, has been and will continue to be one of the best sources for those looking to learn more about the game of Quidditch.

Secondly, you will need Quidditch: A Narrative History 6th Edition, co-authored by myself and Seeking expert Prof. Scarlet Leslie-Lewis. While I consider Quidditch Through the Ages more of a beginner's guide to the history of the sport, Quidditch: A Narrative History will provide you with information you will not be able to find anywhere else. You can find the book at Flourish and Blotts or any major magical bookshop.
Please note that no textbooks will actually be needed for this class.

ABOUT ME
As stated above, my name is Cody Lewis. I joined HOL in 2010 (although I wasn't very active until the next year) and I became a Professor in 2014 when I took over as the teacher of Werewolves 101. I have always loved sports, so when I was first introduced to Harry Potter in 2001, I was immediately enthralled with the idea of Quidditch. I started playing online versions of the game, watching scenes from the movie on repeat, and complaining about Viktor Krum's decision to catch the Snitch to my friends. Eventually, my love for the game led to the creation of this class.
